Practices:

Generally each non-holiday Monday evening from 7pm to 9pm at the Senior Center on the southeast corner of 29th and Lamar (unless preempted by an engagement or holiday). The Senior Center is closed for all major holidays. If we have an engagement on a given Monday, we may cancel practice for that week.

We practice in the room at the south end of the building.  During our practices, the outer door to our room is always ajar and visitors are invited to enter, take a seat, and listen to our music.

Coming performances:

We schedule few performances during the summer months since many of our players are unavailable at this time.

Directions to The Triangle (the new north location of the Farmer's Market)--The Triangle is located just north of West 45th. St. and between North Lamar and Guadalupe.
There are three ways to get to the venue:

  1. Turn east off Lamar onto 46th. St.
  2. Turn west off Guadalupe onto 46th. St.
  3. Turn north off of West 45th. St., between Lamar and Guadalupe, onto
    Triangle Park Drive.  

At least one of these options will allow you to get into the Triangle area without turning left against oncoming traffic.  There is a parking garage west of the stage, a parking lot just across the street from the stage, and on-the-street parking.

Saturday, Oct. 20
40 minutes,  between 10:00a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (I expect to hear from them early next week as to the exact time; we have requested to play in the a.m.)
Pioneer Farms, Austin Music Festival.  Chairs and sound system will be provided.  We can sell CD's.
Directions-IH-35 N. to Braker exit, east on Braker to dead end, turn left, then right at the next light and follow the signs. Uniform TBA

RiverboatThe location for boarding the boat is behind the LCRA building, on Lake Austin Blvd. between the Hula Hut and the dam.  Parking is in the parking lot directly across the street from the LCRA building.  They expect us to play a total of two hours.  They would like for us to be playing as people are boarding the boat.  I suggest that, as many of us as would like to do so, show up in time to be on the boat, ready to play, by 5:15.  We can sit on the long bench on the upper deck, facing the dock, and play "memory" songs for 15 minutes.  Then, we can go inside, to the lower deck, and play the rest of the gig.  Chairs will be provided.   No word yet on what food and/or drinks will be provided.  Uniform TBA
